About
Mory creates, traces, scribbles, envisages, imagines with leftover chalk or in the red earth of his childhood, on a recycled support or a stretched canvas.
Mory creates universes that come to life, take on color with his soul, are shaped by his heart and his gestures.
It was from his native Burkina, where he was already an established artist, that Mory met the man who would change his life forever, his future father and mentor; Gilbert Coudène.
It was thanks to the latter that Mory settled in Lyon in 2013 with a scholarship at ÉCohlCité (ÉmileCohl + CitéCréation). He held a position as a cultural mediator after his diploma but the pressing need for personal creation pushed him to abandon everything to create his workshop/gallery in the rue royale in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon .
Since then, he has expressed the power of his work both on canvas and on a mural. Charcoal, red chalk, sepia, watercolor, oil and pigments... Mory continues to free himself from techniques to gradually erase anything that could come between the support and his heart.
Mory offers you Nocdiurne (day/night) works:
Mory's work is abundant, rich in diverse subjects and pictorial techniques.
Working mainly in acrylic and oil with a knife on canvas or recycled materials, Mory offers us colorful, moving works, as if the artist wanted to freeze time by offering us moments of life.
A double reading of his paintings is offered to us in daylight and in darkness thanks to fluorescent paint and black light.
Its large impasto of material combines roughness and lightness.
Mory is not interested in producing "beauty" but in making the viewer react with a strong emotional proposition.
You can also take drawing, painting and sculpture classes and do unusual activities with fluorescent paint.
